Looking for my free Google Workspace checklist? enter your email here and I’ll send you the Gmail Checklist.
1. Signing up for a trial
Sign up with Google Workspace by using my link https://referworkspace.app.goo.gl/QbFh and get a 14-day trial, and message me to get a 10% discount for when you try Google Workspace for your business.
Click Get Started. For the number of employees, set up one for yourself or choose the number of user that you want to create. Sselect the Region on the list then click Next.
2. Set up your Contact and your Domain
And then it’ll ask you for your contact name and current email address. It will also ask you’ve purchased your own domain already.
If you own your own domain, choose ‘Yes, I have one that I can use‘. If you don’t have one, I have a tutorial on how to buy your own domain using Google Domains.
The following screen will ask you for the domain name, confirm it and ask if you want to share ideas with Google.
3. Admin User Setup
Next, choose how you want to login. You can enter your firstname or your fullname as a username. Then set up a Password and confirm that you are not a robot. You will also be presented with the Terms and conditions which I encourage you to read before clicking the Agree and Continue button.
You can always update username and password later on in the admin portal. You will get a confirmation on the Google Workspace plan that you selected as well as your business type, business info and payment info.
4. Domain Verification
For verification, you’ll need to add a TXT line on your Domain’s DNS settings. This is a way to let Google Workspace know that you own the domain. Whenever you’re modifying a DNS record, it may take up to 48 hours for it to take effect. However, if you have Google Domains, it should take less than half hour.
Once you’ve added your TXT record, click Verify Domain button. If your domain is not ready yet, you can always go back to verify it.
If for some reason you close your verification window before you actually verify, log back into Google Workspace and you’ll see this yellow bar that you need to verify your domain.
That’s it, you are now signed up.
